Lego Movie Day
May with P.O.P!
Last Thursday, May 21st, marked our final mentoring session for the academic school year with our Sherman Elementary School chapter, and we definitely ended things on a great note! ... Our mentees had the opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy the "Piece By Piece" Pharrell Williams LEGO movie together. We also made sure everyone was fed with pizza, snacks, water, juice, and some amazing donated popcorn from Micon Theater A HUGE shoutout goes to Ms. Lauren at Sherman Elementary for all of her hard work and dedication throughout the school year. From making sure rooms were reserved, sessions ran smoothly, and mentees were present each time, she truly helped make this partnership successful. We couldn't ask for a better liaison, and we appreciate everything she has done for our youth and program this year! Thank you to everyone who helped make this school year meaningful. We're already looking forward to what's ahead!

SHAG Academy Workout
Tonight marked a special milestone as we kicked off our first in-person mentoring session with our Sherman Elementary Chapter-and what an incredible way to start! A huge highlight of the evening was having some of our older mentees step in to help support our younger scholars. Their leadership, encouragement, and willingness to give back made a big impact, and our younger mentees truly enjoyed learning from them. Moments like this remind us how powerful peer mentorship can be. 4. We also want to give a huge thank you to SHAG Academy LLC for leading such a fun and engaging workout session and showing our students that staying active is important for everyone-whether you're an athlete or just getting started on your fitness journey. To wrap up the evening, we spent time together enjoying snacks, chips, water, and juice while our mentees shared their thoughts about the workout and reflected on their experience. It was great hearing their excitement and seeing their confidence grow! Special thank you to Ms. Lauren for helping coordinate everything and making sure our mentees were prepared so the session could run smoothly. Your support makes a difference!
