Health Simulation Day

POP Eau Claire North High School chapter had an incredible opportunity to visit Chippewa Valley Technical College for a hands-on Health Simulation Day experience! With around 13 students in attendance, our mentees brought amazing energy, engagement, and enthusiasm throughout the entire day. They were fully immersed in the healthcare field, stepping into real-life patient care scenarios and learning what it takes to respond in critical moments. From administering vaccinations to one another, practicing CPR, understanding the full process of using a defibrillator, and learning lung recovery procedures, it was a day filled with powerful learning, teamwork, and real-world experience. To top it off, every student received a $500 scholarship to use toward any course at Chippewa Valley Technical College — an amazing investment into their futures and a testament to what happens when community partnerships come together for our youth. They were also gifted their own stethoscopes and CPR training mannequins so they can continue practicing and building on the lifesaving skills they learned.

Lego Creations
During our Collaboration Activity, mentees worked in teams to build unique LEGO creations and then shared the meaning behind what they designed. The energy in the room was amazing as everyone supported each other, showed teamwork, and had fun expressing their ideas. We even voted on Most Creative, Most LEGO Pieces Used, and Overall Effort - and our mentees truly rose to the occasion! It was especially great hearing them talk proudly about what they built and how they worked together to bring their visions to life. Moments like these highlight the confidence, communication, and leadership skills they continue to grow each session. With this being our second-to-last mentoring session of the school year, we also shared updates about what's ahead for POP Summer programming - and there's a lot to look forward to! Shoutout to our North High mentees for bringing the creativity, teamwork, and positive energy as always. We're proud of you!
