POP ECASD District Wide Chapter had an incredible mentoring session with a hands-on tour at the Chippewa Valley Technical College Emergency Service Education Center! Our mentees had the opportunity to learn firsthand what EMTs do and how they help save lives every day. They also got an inside look at the training firefighters go through to prepare for careers in emergency services. From exploring emergency response equipment and machines used during major emergencies to seeing real-life training environments, the experience was both educational and inspiring. The mentees also had the chance to hear directly from students currently enrolled in the program, allowing them to ask questions and learn more about what it takes to pursue a career in emergency services. To top it all off, each mentee received a first aid kit and water bottle at the end of the visit. Most importantly, our students truly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the warm hospitality shown by the staff throughout the tour. A huge thank you to the team at Chippewa Valley Technical College for investing in our youth and providing such a meaningful and memorable experience!
