Health Simulation Day
POP Eau Claire Memorial High School chapter had an incredible opportunity to visit Chippewa Valley Technical College for a hands-on Health Simulation Day experience! Our mentees were fully immersed in the healthcare field, stepping into real-life patient care scenarios and learning what it takes to respond in critical moments. From administering vaccinations to one another, practicing CPR, understanding the full process of using a defibrillator, and learning lung recovery procedures, it was a day full of powerful learning and real-world experience. To top it off, every student received a $500 scholarship to use toward any course at CVTC - an amazing investment into their futures and a testament to what happens when community partnerships come together for our youth. They were also gifted their own stethoscopes and CPR training mannequins so they can continue practicing and building on the lifesaving skills they learned. A special thank you to Theresa, Kim, and the entire CVTC team for their amazing hospitality, intentional guidance, and for creating a welcoming and safe space tor our mentees to learn, grow, and explore!

Lego Creations
Our Collaboration Activity was a big success, as mentees worked together to build unique LEGO creations and share the meaning behind their designs. It was exciting to see the teamwork, communication, and imagination come to life across the room. We wrapped up the activity by voting on Most Creative, Most LEGO Pieces Used, and Overall Effort — and our mentees definitely showed up strong in every category! One of the best moments was hearing everyone talk proudly about what they built and how they worked together to make their ideas happen. These conversations continue to build confidence and strengthen connections within the group. With this being our second-to-last mentoring session of the school year, we also shared updates about upcoming POP summer programming, and there's a lot to look forward to! Shoutout to our Memorial High mentees for always bringing positive energy, creativity, and teamwork to each session. We're proud of you!
